Biography

John F. Krug is an accomplished business and community leader whose experience includes 30 years of service to corporate clients, leadership in economic development and nonprofit organizations.  He currently serves as a specialist with an international beverage company, supporting an interdisciplinary team with new plant expansions in the U.S. and overseas.

John was formerly a site selection consultant, serving as principal or partner at advisory firms in Florida and North Carolina where he provided site selection, incentive negotiation and real estate advisory services to corporate clients. He has managed or contributed to a variety of diverse consulting engagements with an aggregate impact of over $1.1 billion in capital investment that affected over 1.5 million sq. ft. of real estate transactions and helped create over 2,400 jobs.

John has been a lobbyist, association executive and economic development professional, playing noteworthy roles in several important community-building initiatives in Central Florida. His economic development career is distinguished by considerable project-related achievements including work at the local, regional and state levels leading cumulatively to over $806 million in capital investment, 2.4 million sq. ft. of real estate transactions and over 8,000 jobs.

 John is an alumnus of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania and attended graduate school at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He holds professional certifications in economic development, governmental affairs, organization management and earned certification in proposal development from the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College.  John is a licensed real estate broker.  He is a Red Cross volunteer, trained in emergency shelter operations.  John is also a member of the Orlando Reef Caretakers Association.


Originally from Dunkirk, New York, John is married to Diana (Miller) who is also from the Buffalo area, and they have three children together.
